RESPITE CARE

WHAT IS RESPITE CARE?

To allow carers to occasionally take a break from their crucial role, we provide respite services as regularly and as consistently as needed. We offer short-term, professional care for children and youths. This allows caregivers to rest, recharge, or attend to personal needs, ensuring they can continue providing stable, nurturing environments.

Why it matters for C4K’s Mission:

  • Prevents Burnout: Caregivers face immense emotional and physical demands. Respite care helps sustain their well-being, reducing the risk of placement breakdowns.

  • Supports Child Welfare: Consistent, trained respite carers maintain stability for children and youths, reinforcing their sense of sense and belonging.

  • Encourages Family Preservation: For biological families in crisis(e.g medical emergencies or mental health challenges), respite can prevent unnecessary out-of-home placements.
